I've always wanted to do one of these for my birthday. Many, many years later, I do it too late. But what's important is that I did it, and it makes for a perfect first entry!
If I look like crap, that's because I do. As in, it didn't look my me until I added my eyebags LMAO it's rough out here. Also, I don't think of my art style as being 'semi-realistic' very often, but now that I'm looking at this and I'm looking at myself, I'm like, damn. My art style is semi-realistic. And now I remember why I don't like drawing myself LMAOOO I know it's meant to look like me. Which it does. But that's also why I don't like it. It's so uncanny man.
And yep, I think I'm not going to post art on Instagram anymore (or for now, at least). I've given it quite a lot of thought. Between the crap algorithm that doesn't show my art to anyone and being Meta's AI mule, there's nothing left for me on that site. It's not worth sticking around in hopes of reaching an audience that the algorithm doesn't want to show my work to. So, this website/newsletter really will be the only place I'll put up my work -- and I'm quite happy with this decision!
